Transportation

Chartiers Valley School District operates a fleet of more than 60 school buses and vans which transport more than 3,500 students to and from school each day. 

CVSD employs over 50 full and part-time drivers who receive training mandated by state and federal laws.  Most drivers are residents of the Chartiers Valley area and are familiar with the roads and our students.  They take care and pride in the very important job of safely transporting children to and from school each day.

Throughout the summer months, all buses undergo a thorough cleaning and tune-up before being inspected by the PA State Police in August.

Bus stops and routes are determined in July and assigned for the upcoming school year based on primary residence information previously provided to the District.  If your address has changed, please contact the District Registrar, Kelly Mannering at kmannering@cvsd.net to complete a change of address, including three proofs of residency.
