A School Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 6:30 pm at the CVSD Intermediate School auditorium. Members of the public are invited to attend in person.
In two separate events, Chartiers Valley High School music and performing arts students shared their talents and inspiration with elementary students.
Chartiers Valley High School senior Derek Ferrer was recently recognized for having qualified as a Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship Program for his exceptional academic promise.
Students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 will take the Pennsylvania Youth Survey, or PAYS, next Friday, November 12. The data gathered in this brief survey helps school and community leaders promote a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.
On Tuesday, November 2, around 3:00 pm, the District tested the parent and staff message system, in preparation for inclement winter weather.

The Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) announced Monday that it is teaming up with Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to hold its inaugural league-wide food drive from Oct. 11-23.

Paving work on Thoms Run Road between Forsyth Road and Washington Pike will resume Friday, November 1, 2019.
Students are encouraged to participate in the 2nd Annual Holiday Card Contest. A district-wide winner will have their artwork printed on the CVSD holiday card, which is sent to hundreds of recipients.

October is Fire Prevention Month. The National Fire Prevention Association's (NFPA) annual campaign works to educate everyone about the small but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.

Members of the varsity football team took time out of their day to visit students in the Primary School last month. The visit, organized by football coach and Primary School teacher Mr. Fitzpatrick, is an effort to bring the District's oldest and youngest children together in one place.
