Students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 will take the Pennsylvania Youth Survey, or PAYS, next Friday, November 12.  The data gathered in this brief survey helps school and community leaders promote a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.

Prom and Graduation June 19 Update

Following the Governor's declaration placing Allegheny County in the “green phase," we are excited to move forward with Prom and Graduation Alternative Plan #1.

The District will continue to follow the guidance and orders mandated by the Governor regarding social distancing and subsequent closures. While this situation has created a lot of uncertainty, the safety of our students, families, faculty, and staff remains our utmost priority.

2019-2020 Calendar

Due to the snow day on February 7, 2020, a make-up day is scheduled for Monday, February 17, 2020.

Chartiers Valley's generous students, staff, parents, and community members have been busy this month raising money and collecting donations to provide for various needs throughout the area.

The revised comprehensive planning framework includes belief statements, a mission statement, objectives and strategies and action plans. The strategic planning process is built on focusing the district’s actions to fulfill the mission developed by the comprehensive planning team.

October is Fire Prevention Month. The National Fire Prevention Association's (NFPA) annual campaign works to educate everyone about the small but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.

football players read to primary students

Members of the varsity football team took time out of their day to visit students in the Primary School last month.  The visit, organized by football coach and Primary School teacher Mr. Fitzpatrick, is an effort to bring the District's oldest and youngest children together in one place. 

October 2019 HS paving road closure

Beginning Friday, October 4, 2019 and ending Sunday, October 6, 2019, the roadway between the guard station and High School Door 9 will be closed while contractors complete road paving work.

Festivities kicked off Wednesday and will continue Friday evening as the Colts take on Baldwin and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime.
